Wireless Connections

I hope I am putting this in the right place. I work at home as medical transcriptionist, take distance learning classes through LSU and I love to travel. I was thinking about getting a computer, a wireless setup, and live in a motorhome, see the US until I get tired of it. Would it be possible to put a PC in a motorhome and have Net access in cities' hot spots? I understand you need the modem with AT&T or Sprint or someone. I was just wondering if this would be a realistic goal? I mean sitting outside on the side of a lake with my cat, while doing my job seems perfect versus melting in a Vegas summer. Before I got my heart set on it, figured I would ask if this concept is remotely possible.

Thanks a million! Glad to know where to go when I start setting up! You're a gem! I just thought - sit outside, under trees, with an iced tea, next to a lake and type....instead of an apartment, inside since it's going to 115 degrees in a few weeks...You just made my night! Thank you!

He confirmed that it is possible for me to do what I want in the near future. Made my night. I am a happy camper. :)
