Are there any good GCSE music distance learning courses I could do? I didn't take music for GCSE and now I want to study it at the same time as my A-levels. Does anyone know of a good way to do this? |

If you're just interested in music but don't actually need the GCSE for something (like a University course or a job), then I'd just recommend asking your instrument teacher to help you learn some composition skills and general music theory.
I'm in my final year of GCSE music and it is definitely one of the HARDEST SUBJECTS I'm doing, and would be even harder without constant help from my teacher. Therefore I wouldn't recommend trying to do it alone.
If you really want to get the qualification, I'd suggest seeing if there's a local college near you that offers a 2-3 hour course per week. Otherwise, look for some GCSE music books online (perhaps some revision books). My current GCSE class covers composition, history of music, listening to various areas of study and performing on an instrument. It's a very practical class but you could easily learn the theory if you wanted to.
