Just how "Christian" is the coursework at Liberty University's distance learning programs? I am considering getting a master's degree in either Professional Counseling or School Counseling through Liberty University's distance learning program. I am not religious, and I don't know a whole lot about Christianity. However, I know that Liberty is an unabashedly Christian school. |

Take it from a guy who went to a Christian college that isn't crazy fundamentalist -- Liberty is not the kind of school you want to take any classes from if you're not fundamentalist yourself. Maybe you could get by, but why would you want to? I'm not a fan of distance learning anyway, but I'm especially not a fan of distance learning from a second-rate school. If you live in Arkansas and can't make it to the University of Chicago for classes each day, then distance education might make sense. But you'd really be dumbing down your education with the double-whammy of distance education and a school like Liberty.
