Which college has the fastest and cheapest distance learning program? I have been trying to finish my degree for years. I have been taking CL EP examines for the past several years. I find they take to long to study for. I have researched many distance learning colleges. Most of them I could not afford. I was planning to get my degree from Excelsior College. I have found this college may not be able to meet my needs. |

Charter Oak State College in Connecticut is an online distance learning college that is known for being one of the most affordable online colleges, probably sue to the fact that they are a public college. There is an tuition comparison chart on their site ( http://www.charteroak.edu/Prospective/Tuition/ ) that shows they are cheaper than Excelsior per credit.
Charter Oak can be very fast, as they will accept almost any college credit you already have towards a Charter Oak degree. If you come in with college credits from many different schools, Charter Oak can aggregate them, and you'd already be close to a degree. It's possible to get a degree from Charter Oak State College by only taking one class that's actually from Charter Oak.
They have a simple process ( http://www.charteroak.edu/Prospective/Apply/ ) and you can get started right away.
