Where is a good college that has a Japanese distance learning program? I want to take some distance learning courses from a college that offers Japanese. What college offers a really good Japanese distance learning program that goes from Beginner to Advanced courses? This is something that I am really passionate about and would greatly appreciate any help people can give me. 5 stars to a good answer. |

Colleges don't typically offer distance learning for foreign languages, and if they do, it is for "easier" languages, such as French or Spanish. As someone who is majoring in Chinese in college, I can tell you based on the research I have done that if you really want to do Japanese, you are going to either have to go to college and take classes, move to Japan, find a personal tutor, or try Rosetta Stone. ( I haven't tried Rosetta Stone, but I do know that it is what the Dept. of State uses) The drawback to Rosetta Stone is that it will not teach you reading and writing, it teaches you verbal skills.
